Our Staff

Maria has been volunteering and helping children improve their reading skills for many years. She volunteers as a board member of the Fisher Heights Community Association and the Ottawa Dragon Boat festival. Previously to joining Zen she worked as a foreign exchange officer for over 20 years.

Maria enjoys traveling and is an amateur photographer.  Her favorite travel destination so far has been Iceland and she is looking forward to her next destination, Antarctica. Maria has always loved nature and whales in particular.  She travels annually to Tadoussac, Quebec to take photos of whales on the St. Laurent River.

Maria is excited to meet your children and help them embark on an educational and adventurous school year.
